Though I have not been terribly crafty since December, I have been fairly active with my camera... I have developed a bit of an obsession with my fisheye and animal noses…
I have also just been taking more photos overall. Except for this weekend, I had a garage sale with some friends. I managed to get rid of some stuff, but there is still a lot to get rid of. Anyone want to buy my stuff? No my fabric stash is not for sale.
My summer so far... there are worse things than unemployment...
One night a week I volunteer at an animal shelter, this past week there was a dog there that looks a lot like a dog I had as a kid. The shelter is taking care of the flooring and wanted to get foster homes for the dogs so that they did not have to be near the fumes. So how could I resists??
It is kind of crazy having a big dog at my house, but the first hour seems to be going pretty well.
Outside of that, I also recently photographed a friends wedding. I am pretty happy with the way the images turned out. It was nice because I was able to get another friend of mine to help out and take pics too.
I also went to another wedding out of town a few weekends ago and this weekend I had a bithday....
Today is my friend J9s birthday. Her husband is in a wedding so while he was doing photos and other wedding stuff she came over for lunch and to experiment with her new Cannon EOS. She needed a second battery and some cap keepers so we headed over to Glazer’s and picked them up.
While there I looked at the macro lenses and the wide-angle fish eye lenses. There is one I have been looking at on the Nikkor site, but last time I was at the store they did not have any.
Today they had one. Now they have none.
Ok I did it. I went and fully set up my Flickr account, went pro and everything.
Last night since I could not sleep, I spent hours uploading images off my hard drive. It boggles my mind a bit to realize how many pictures I have taken since I got my new camera, it also tells me that it was a worthwhile investment.
Today was a Crafterday: NO work all craft and ideally a little exercise and definitely some lunch.
TxK came over and we
worked on our projects, well when I say we, really I mean mostly TxK. I was a super chatterbox. I did get some recent orders from the etsy
shop ready to be shipped out. TxK on the
other hand, she even finished not one but 2 projects for Squirrels in the
Attic!
She made a baby play mat/dog crate mat complete with pillow AND a set of pot holders; all I did was make a tiny bit of headway on my triangle quilt.
Next time I think KymPossible might join us too.
The day was lovely though and I did manage to get laundry done.
