Writing this made me realize that I need to write more, I have been a little stale. Today I am moving my desk from my garage to my sewing room... then I can sew and create and write... no more excuses.

Not sure if you made it and we missed you or you didn’t make it. As we entered through a purple haze a little after 9:20 there was a steady beat, that continued while we stood there and people got things sorted. There was barely anyone there and they hardly looked ready, rather than offer to help we decided to get some fresh air and skip the beer and wine in favor of some of the harder stuff. We exited back through the haze and headed around the corner to the Bit (once the workin’ mans saloon now something about it being a dive bar). One drink we a listened to a guy express that he liked Seattle because it is where it is ok for a black man to like country and punk, enjoyed the occasional juke box sign-a-longs, even joined in a few ourselves… we realized it was 10 so we headed back. The haze was still strong and had shifted just slightly. The same beat droned on. There was no cleverness. Chatted with a few folks asked if anyone had seen you and knowing Johnny would be there all night asked him to keep an eye out for you and to let you know we had been and gone back to the bit. Back to the bit we had a second drink and chatted with some locals. I love the bit. I think it was another hour past and we headed out, back around the corner, TxK almost lost her life as a car careened around the corner with no regard for human life. I hollered “car!” and her life was spared as she darted like a ninja out of the way. Granted it would have been WAY cooler if she had jumped and flipped and landed on her feet on the hood of the car and gone for a joy ride, but this is real life not an action film, so instead you just have to imagine that is what she did, even though she didn’t.
We contemplated walking back in before climbing into the rig, it was a little past 11 now, and the haze had moved to the sidewalk, and was wafting like the evil black cloud in Lost towards us. We opted for the Chariot to take out leave of that place.
Hope you had an equally as exciting Friday.
My week (even having taken a 5 day weekend) has been crazy and I am tired.
I brought Dözer back to the shelter.
Cue “booooh”.
He was not very happy about it. In fact I had to drag him back to his kennel, he was spread eagle, head on the floor REFUSING.
Wednesday I worked my volunteer shift.
The dogs were crazy. Everyone barking, many peeing in their cages, tipping water buckets, pooping… Goldie climbed into an adjoining kennel. Dozer was chill, he even shook a little.
So I took him home again.
It surprises even me to realize that I have been pretty busy lately, new home, new job, new car, foster dog, new volunteer work... I have even fit in some crafty goodness. I painted some chairs and other furniture and made some buttons. I will post more on that later.
Anyway. I was in B&N earlier this week to pick up Season II of Friday Night Lights... thanks Jennifer... and decided I would also pick up a few cd's - I know antiquated form of music - and TV even, but whatever, I needed the new Ashlee Simpson CD.
Don't hold it against me if you haven't heard it; if you have and you still scoff, well go bug off I didn't ask for your opinion anyway.
I have this habit of buying CDs of artists I have never heard of (though thanks to my new zune it will cost me less), but on a hunch (read as: I liked the album art nd song titles) I bought a Kate Nash CD.
Frankly I love it.
With the poppy happy tunes and the harsh lyrics, you can be mad at someone and still smile. So if you are not familiar with her and you like a little sass in your music collection, then go find a way to get it....
I recommend getting yourself a Zune pass... and if you are on Zune... I am quornflour, you can add me to your social and see all of the other crazy stuff I listen to.
So I did it. I traded in the Snaab for something newer and better.
Things were just starting to go mysteriously wrong. Things that no one could pin point exactly and I for one and not about to just start paying money for a hunch of what could be wrong. Things that felt like the front wheel wanting to fall off, so I turned her in.
I got myself a new car. I have had my eye on it for a while. A distant cousin of Url.
It is really quite lovely, the clutch is a little different, oh heck, everything is a little different, but that is ok by me.
mmmm love that new car smell...
So I don't have to pack it:
Brand New Playmobil set: http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/tag/535254115.html
Hardly Used Like New DVD Player (Portable): http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/ele/535286770.html
If you are not local, happy to accept paypal as payment with additional funds for shipping.
Happy to be moving, happier to be moved.
Who is ringing in the New Year with you? Who do you wish could be with you, but isn't there?
Chillin' at some crazy carver party with my peeps TxK and Frankonater... perhaps more on that later.
What are your irrational fears?

There is that cliché of showing up to school without any clothes on. For me it is nearly the same only I worry about not having shoes, or losing shoes I have.
Seriously…
What are some things that are worth (and not worth) spending money on?

Something NOT worth spending money on is prefilled ice-cube trays.
