This is the most wonderful book.  It was my favorite when I was a kid, I tend to buy it for any kid turning 2.

It makes me insane when people at work think that since I do not have kids or a spouse that somehow my time is less important than theirs. 

“You should be the one to stay late, because you do not have kids.”

What?  I do not have a life?  Should I be required to work MORE than you because I do not have children at home? 

Contrary to popular belief, many people who do not have kids:

1.    Have responsibilities in life outside of work

2.    Understand that kids take up time and energy (and in fact the reason some do not have kids)

Do not tell me, "oh you don’t understand, you don’t have kids."  FUCK YOU!  I do in fact understand. I understand that your children do not give you more of a right to slack than me.  I get the same number of sick days as you and if I want to use every last one of them when I am sick then I will.

If I have the same responsibilities as someone as a kid I should not be penalized for the fruit of your loins.

That is why I like my friends with kids.  They get it.  Thank you friends with kids.
